At Hyperbaric Healing Institute, we are dedicated to providing the most advanced hyperbaric treatment available. Our state of the art computerized monoplace hyperbaric chambers, supplied by Enviromental Tectonics, allow us to offer personalized and individualized care for each of our patients.

As the largest hyperbaric facility in Puerto Rico, we have clinics in Arecibo and Ponce, serving patients from north to south. Our specialized medical and nursing staff are experts in the treatment of wounds and management of hyperbaric therapies, ensuring optimal results in your recovery.

Marie Liz Rivera Polanco, MD

HHI Medical Director Arecibo

Our Arecibo clinic director is a highly qualified and experienced healthcare professional with over 30 years in the industry. She earned her Doctorate in Medicine in 1983, followed by specializations in Family Medicine in 1998 and Hyperbaric Medicine in 2007. With a wealth of experience in both public and private sectors, she has earned recognition and awards for her exceptional work as a community physician. For Dr. Rivera Polanco, the most rewarding aspect of her career is seeing the positive impact she has on the quality of life of her patients.

Dr. Renier González-Cruz, MD

HHI Medical Director Ponce

With a distinguished career spanning over 30 years, Dr. González-Cruz is a highly qualified and experienced medical professional. He earned his Doctorate in Medicine in 1981 and completed his specialty in Family Medicine in 1998. As a Board-Certified Wound Care sub-specialist (2005) and a certified physician in diabetic treatment, Dr. González-Cruz brings a wealth of expertise to his patients. He also holds a specialty in Hyperbaric Medicine (2007), making him a valuable asset in the treatment of a wide range of conditions. Currently, he serves as the director of the Wound Care department at Hospital Metropolitano Dr. Pila in Ponce, where he continues to provide medical care to those in need.
